Aligned Data Centers is building Project Phoenix, a 2 GW data center campus spanning three facilities in the Shippingport Industrial Park, on the former Bruce Mansfield coal-fired power plant site in Beaver County. Aligned says the campus will use its own dedicated onsite power source rather than the local electrical grid and a closed-loop cooling system engineered to require zero water for operational cooling. Aligned closed on a 650.89-acre property in Shippingport in July 2026 and announced the groundbreaking on September 10, 2026.
