Sailfish Investors plans a roughly 2,100-acre data center campus with on-site natural gas generation in the Tolar area of Hood County, one of eight data centers proposed in the county. Commissioners conditionally approved it in January 2026, rejected two moratorium proposals 3-2 in February and asked the Texas Attorney General whether they have authority to impose one, and then approved the concept plan without conditions in June 2026. Residents have raised concerns about water, wastewater and the Paluxy River.
