Denver-based developer Tract plans the Farmington Technology Park, a data center campus of up to 12 buildings and 2.5 million sq ft on 340+ acres of former school district land and a defunct golf course. It is reported at $5 billion and 708 MW. The Farmington City Council approved the annexation, rezoning, PUD and development agreement in 2024. Residents in the Coalition for Responsible Data Center Development sued, and in September 2026 they announced they were dropping the suit because of legal costs.
